Inova Health System is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) for our OBGYN team in Northern Virginia. This full-time day shift runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a focus on holistic patient care and education in an outpatient setting. Minimum qualifications include a BSN, Virginia RN license or eligibility, and BLS certification.

0 years experience required; ADN holders must obtain a BSN within 5 years. Preferred: 1–2 years in Labor & Delivery.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in Virginia or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential duties necessary to clinic or outpatient operations: full intakes; reconciliation of medications; vaccinations/injections/phlebotomy.
• Provides safe and therapeutic care in a physician practice or outpatient setting, incorporating knowledge to meet patient and family needs and education.
• Improves care by using data and information; serves as resource, preceptor and mentor to others.
• Ensures efficiency in delivery of care; determines priorities and proposes solutions with the team.
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge from education and experience.

Inova OBGYNis looking for a dedicated Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team. This role will be full time day shift from Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Vaccinations/Injections/Phlebotomy

Provides safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in a physician practice or other outpatient setting. Incorporates differences into the provision of care while integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families to include patient and family education. Achieves desired patient outcomes by using an integrated approach.

Incorporates data and information to improve care and enhances outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor.

Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care. Determines immediate priorities and offers solutions for problems. Works with the team to achieve maximum productivity.

Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience.

Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery
