Carilion Clinic is seeking an Outpatient Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for a full‑time day shift at 2331 Franklin Rd – Roanoke, VA, supporting Lexington/Raphine and Roanoke orthopedics. A new‑hire sign‑on bonus up to $30,000 and relocation assistance up to $7,000 are available.

Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology program with ARRT registry and Virginia license; BLS‑HCP certification required. Excellent patient communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• No prior experience required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry with a Virginia state license.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures using radiographic, CR, DR, and PACS equipment.
• Assess patients before, during, and after procedures per Imaging Services guidelines.
• Position patients for high‑quality images and conduct IV contrast injections or related procedures.
• Use RIS and EMR for patient data management.
• Train students and staff; may cross‑train on phlebotomy or EKG per CLIA.
