Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Registered Nurse to join outpatient clinics in a PRN capacity, supporting diagnostic procedures and patient care. The role emphasizes safety, education, and teamwork with physicians.

Responsibilities include pre/post procedure patient education, medication administration, vital-sign monitoring, and documentation. Travel between sites is required, with a focus on delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced radiology setting.

Qualifications

• RN license current and in good standing.
• Two years nursing experience in hospital or clinic.
• CPR, BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Travel between sites and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation and reduce apprehension.
• Screens patient prior to procedures for precautions or contraindications.
• Educate patients and family about pre, intra and post procedure care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments (e.g., contrasts and sedations) per standards.
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatment and examination.
• Maintains awareness of patient comfort and safety needs.
• Observes patient and notifies supervisor or physician of significant changes.
• Monitors vital signs and assesses condition; responds to life-saving situations.
• Documents patient history and physical assessment for assigned patients.
• Initiates patient education plan per physician and clinic policy.
