Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic examinations per established protocols, ensuring image quality, patient safety, and efficient workflow. You will complete patient screening, exam documentation, and image verification in RIS and PACS to support timely physician interpretation.

Education includes graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program with ARRT registration within 6 months of hire and SC radiation

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Registration/Certification: Must be registered with ARRT within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure: SC Radiation Quality Standards Association licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred.
• Zero to two years of modality-specific work experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level with sound positioning and physiology knowledge.
• Applies ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology.
• Performs diagnostic radiologic examinations per established protocols.
• Maintains image quality, patient safety, and efficient workflow.
• Completes patient screening, exam documentation, and image verification in RIS and PACS.
• Supports onboarding and training of staff and students.
• Maintains compliance with radiation safety, quality, and organizational standards.
• Maintains a professional demeanor in attitude, appearance, and communication.
