Inova Health System's Pulmonology team in Ashburn, VA is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 for a full-time day position, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. The role involves coordinating referrals, administering medications, and documenting patient care under physician supervision.

Minimum qualifications include a Virginia LPN license, a vocational/technical diploma, and 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinic, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in a hospital or clinic.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates referrals for patient chronic care conditions and follow up care as indicated by the initial care plan of the specialist and/or primary care physician.
• Administers prescribed oral and intramuscular medications and other treatments under the supervision of the physician.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records and documents all care activities according to standards and legal requirements.
• Communicates effectively with healthcare team, patients and families to support patient care goals.
