Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Dorchester, MA seeks a Level 1 Physical Therapist Assistant to assist Physical Therapists in delivering comprehensive outpatient physical therapy. You will work in a team-based setting with pediatric to geriatric patients, documenting progress and adapting treatments within the plan of care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant required by time of hire.
• Massachusetts PTA license or eligibility required by time of hire; CPR certification or within 90 days.
• CPR certification must be current or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements comprehensive individual and group treatment independently with competence.
• Follows treatment priorities based on the physical therapist’s evaluation.
• Delivers PT services using effective treatment and progress notes.
• Documents patient responses and progress toward goals in the chart.
• Notifies supervisor of changes requiring reassessment and adjusts plan.
