Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (Outpatient) to join the Physical Therapy UHTMC team. The role involves delivering PT services under supervision and coordinating care with licensed therapists.

You will assist with student supervision, maintain equipment and supplies, and communicate patient progress to staff across departments. Missouri PTA license and BCLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Missouri Physical Therapist Assistant License.
• Verbal and written communication skills required to discuss and document treatment programs and work issues.
• Physical ability to teach and demonstrate locomotor skills, gross and fine-motor skills.
• Must maintain certification in BCLS for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Communicates progress to intradepartmental staff and interdepartmental staff.
• May assist with supervision of PTA students.
• Maintains equipment and departmental supplies.
