Job summary

Truman Medical Centers, University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to plan, organize and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore functional independence across patient populations.

The role supervises PTAs, Rehab Techs and PT/PTA students and works independently, seeking supervision when necessary. This full-time position schedules Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM in the Hospital Hill/UHTMC department.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Missouri Physical Therapy license.
• Verbal and written communication skills to discuss and document treatment programs and work issues.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with correct body mechanics to physically manage/assist patients.
• Requires the physical ability to teach and demonstrate locomotor skills, high level coordination and gross motor skills.
• Must maintain certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs to facilitate/restore functional independence in all patient populations.
• Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehab Techs and PT / PTA students; works independently; seeks supervision when necessary.
