Job summary

77 consultants is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver targeted interventions under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will work on tailored treatment protocols to improve mobility, functional capacity, and rehabilitation outcomes.

The role involves engaging in advanced PTA interventions, developing individual plans, and aiding discharge planning. Travel to various local outpatient sites may be required, with a FLEX schedule 6:00 AM–6:00 PM and potential

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an Associate degree.
• Current NYS PTA license or eligibility.
• Current CPR certification.
• Completion of mandatory safety training and HealthStream modules.
• Experience in outpatient/clinical setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced PTA interventions under a licensed PT.
• Implement individualized treatment plans for patient goals.
• Guide therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance, and ADLs.
• Assist patients with mobility devices (crutches, walkers, canes, orthotics).
• Administer modalities (hot/cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation).
• Perform manual therapy within PTA scope.
• Monitor patient responses and report to supervising PT.
• Adjust protocols based on progress and feedback.
• Contribute to discharge planning and home exercise programs.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safety.
