Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a licensed therapist to evaluate and treat patients referred to our facility. The role involves developing and implementing treatment plans, delivering therapy services, and coordinating discharge planning as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a BS, MS, or Doctorate from an accredited institution, and eligibility for Kentucky/Indiana licensure, plus BLS certification. The therapist will contribute to program goals and ensure compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or Doctorate level degree from accredited college or University (required)
• Varies based on practice setting and programmatic needs of the facility (required)
• Licensed or eligible in the Commonwealth of Kentucky or State of Indiana, as appropriate to the facility (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and implements competent therapy treatment and provides regular re-assessments to maximize functional independence.
• Communicates patient status to physicians and therapy customers with timely written or verbal updates.
• Maintains effective working relations with patients, families, internal and external customers.
• Demonstrates awareness of treatment costs and resources to provide cost-effective programming.
• Ensures that patient charges and clinical documentation comply with regulatory standards.
• Oversees rehab technicians, therapy assistants, and students according to practice acts.
• Self-monitors workflow to maintain productivity and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in program development and community events sponsored by the organization.
• Responds professionally to feedback/concerns with good listening and problem-solving skills.
