Job summary
Wellstar Medical Group in Georgia seeks a skilled Outpatient Psychiatrist to join the Windy Hill location. This full-time role provides comprehensive psychiatric care to adults within a multidisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will have MD/DO, Psychiatry residency, Georgia license, and board eligibility/certification. Epic EMR experience is preferred. Competitive benefits and relocation assistance available.
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completed residency in Psychiatry
- Current and unrestricted Georgia medical license
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Outpatient psychiatry experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills and excellent communication
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for adults
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including medication management and psychotherapy
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications with monitoring
- Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and PCPs
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
- Educate patients and families about conditions and treatments
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed
- Offer psychiatric consultations to other clinicians within Wellstar
- Engage in continuing education and adhere to regulatory standards
