Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group, LLC is seeking an Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our Windy Hill team in Georgia. The role involves comprehensive psychiatric care for adults in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting, with focus on evidence-based practice and documentation in Epic EMR.

The ideal candidate will have MD or DO, completed psychiatry residency, GA license, and board certification or eligibility, with optional outpatient experience.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completed residency in Psychiatry from an accredited program.
• Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in Georgia.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.
• Outpatient psychiatry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adult patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including medications and psychotherapy.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications with monitoring.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatments.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed and participate in consultations.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
