Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System, a UHS facility in Desoto County, Mississippi, is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN (IOP) outpatient coverage. The role requires flexibility with schedule, especially daytime hours on weekends.

The RN provides professional nursing care on a designated unit and works within a multidisciplinary treatment plan to support adults, adolescents and children in a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensure as a registered nurse (Mississippi) or multi-state license as approved by NCSBN.
• One year of psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships, and crisis management.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit per the treatment plan.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care using the nursing process within the multidisciplinary team.
• Be responsible for assigned nursing activities on a shift; may assume Charge Nurse responsibilities.
• Contribute to a caring environment focused on patients, families, and communities.
