Job summary

UNM Hospital in Albuquerque seeks a Registered Nurse for the UPC General Specialty Clinics to provide professional nursing care in a mental health environment. You will design care plans and coordinate with physicians, families, and other providers across age groups to support recovery.

The role emphasizes bilingual communication and patient-centered care, with adherence to safety and hospital policies; this is a full-time daytime position with differential shifts.

Qualifications

• RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.
• CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days.
• IV Certification within 6 months of date of position.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients in a psychiatric environment.
• Design and implement nursing care plans and coordinate with physicians and families.
• Administer medications and treatments; coordinate educational sessions.
• Document observations and patient data; support group therapy as needed.
• Educate patients and families on treatment regimens and safety.
• Participate in orientation and precepting of new staff; promote patient safety.
