Job summary

Mind Body Optimization 1 is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (PMHNP) for outpatient psychiatry in Tyler, TX. The role focuses on comprehensive psychiatric care, including evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has PMHNP licensure, 5–10 years of healthcare/mental health administration experience, and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Masters’ or Doctoral degree in Nursing required.
• Current licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or PMHNP-BC.
• 5-10 years healthcare/mental health administration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DHS, state and federal regulations; background check and screenings on hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
• Formulate diagnoses and develop personalized treatment plans with therapy and medication management.
• Manage psychotropic medication regimens: initiation, titration, and monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments for acute mental health issues.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other providers; attend team meetings and reviews.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR and ensure compliance with policies.
