Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Professional (APP) specialized in psychiatry to deliver high-quality mental health care to the community. The role works in outpatient settings with a Monday–Friday schedule, focusing on evaluations and medication management for adults.

Board-certified PMHNP-BC or PA with NC license is preferred; CME opportunities, potential moonlighting pay, PTO, and performance incentives up to 5% are available.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current NC license to practice as NP or PA.
• Prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
• BLS for healthcare provider from AHA required.
• Nurse practitioners require a master’s or doctorate in nursing practice.
• Certification as psychiatric NP required.
• PA certification from NCCPA preferred.
• Current or pending CAQ certification preferred.
• +1 years of experience preferred.
• NC/SC Licensure

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adult patients.
• Evaluate, stabilize, and treat patients with acute and chronic mental health diagnoses.
• Manage conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
