Job summary

Atrium Health seeks an experienced advanced practice professional (APP) in psychiatry for full-time outpatient care in the Charlotte area. The APP/PMHNP-BC or PA will perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management under psychiatrists in the Atrium Health Psychiatry Service Line.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, 36 patient contact hours; no weekends or on-call. CME opportunities and potential for additional incentives accompany a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Current NC license to practice as NP or PA with prescriptive privileges.
• Board-certified psychiatric NP or PA; DEA license.
• PA candidates: NCCPA certification and CAQ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient psychiatry evaluations and medication management for adults.
• Provide care under supervision of psychiatrists in Atrium Health Psychiatry Service Line.
• Stabilize and treat acute and chronic mental health conditions.
• Engage in teaching opportunities with residents and APP Fellows.
