Job summary

Mind Body Optimization in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Private Practice Therapist to deliver high-quality outpatient mental health services. You will conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapy to support client well-being.

The role works independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, maintains accurate EHR documentation, and adheres to professional guidelines and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work preferred.
• Experience: Two years in private practice preferred; substance use experience preferred but not required.
• Licensure: Independently licensed and in good standing as LPC or LCSW; provisionally licensed associates accepted.
• Additional Requirements: TB testing, drug screening, and background check upon hire.
• Knowledge: Understanding of Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DHS, state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couple, and/or family therapy based on client needs.
• Conduct intake evaluations including history, mental status exams, and diagnoses.
• Formulate psychiatric diagnoses and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments for acute cases.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers and other providers.
