Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for St. Rose Convenient Care APP - PRN at St Rose Medical Pavilion. The NP will provide primary care in collaboration with physicians and the health care team across outpatient and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities include data collection, care planning, safe interventions, patient education, and thorough documentation. Requires an APRN license and BLS; part-time schedule with duties aligned to the department needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of nursing theory and practice.

Responsibilities

• Collects and assesses initial and ongoing health data.
• Initiates and revises an individualized plan of care with the health care team.
• Carries out interventions safely and per policy to meet outcomes.
• Evaluates patient response to interventions based on expected outcomes.
• Educates patients by explaining procedures, medications, and instructions; confirms informed consent when indicated.
• Documents and communicates all required components of patient care.
• Demonstrates professional, clinical, and technical competencies for the unit or department.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.
