Job summary

Day Kimball Health is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Outpatient Physical Medicine team in Putnam, CT. This 24-hour-per-week role supports patient recovery and functional goals within a collaborative rehab team.

You will screen and treat patients under supervision, document progress, educate families, and participate in program development while maintaining professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensure by the State of Connecticut is required.
• Current CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Records treatment, response, progress and discharge information in the chart or system.
• Performs prescribed physical therapy procedures delegated by the supervising therapist.
• Educates patient and family regarding condition and home program.
• Communicates with physicians and practitioners regarding progress or changes.
• Participates in planning and implementing new programs.
