Job summary

The Physical Therapy Department within the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting for a medically complex and diverse veteran population.

Applicants must meet basic requirements including US citizenship, PTA education, licensure, and English proficiency, with consideration for GS-5 through GS-8 based on experience and KSAs. Preference noted for orthopedics and geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Must have an active PTA license in the United States (state of licensure).
• Education must meet one of the listed options (accredited PTA degree, NPTE eligibility, or military PTA program).
• US citizenship is required; English proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a medically complex and diverse veteran population in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with PTs and the health care team to implement and modify treatment plans.
• Document progress and support discharge planning as per the plan of care.
