Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate and plan goal oriented PT treatment focused on restoring function after trauma, surgery or disability. Outpatient experience is preferred with scheduled hours Tue/Thu 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Fri 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

The role requires PT license and BLS, with strong communication and computer skills; the organization emphasizes equity, comprehensive benefits, and team-based care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA accredited program or equivalent.
• Standing, walking and/or continuously moving around.
• Kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling or working in other unusual physical positions.
• Climbing (ladders, stools, stairs) or balancing.
• Stretching and/or reaching to retrieve/replace objects.
• Pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying heavy objects (20 lbs. or more).
• Dexterity and eye-hand coordination for positioning, typing or data entry.
• Visual ability to monitor instruments and computers; distinguish characters and colors.
• Hearing ability to recognize sounds and patterns.
• React quickly in emergencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and implement a goal oriented Physical Therapy treatment program.
• Outpatient experience preferred; hours Tue/Thu 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Fri 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Maintain licensure and participate in a collaborative care environment.
