Job summary

The outpatient physical therapy department at Methodist Outpatient Rehab, part of Dignity Health in Sacramento, California, seeks a Physical Therapist to help pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients improve mobility and quality of life. You will perform initial evaluations, develop plans, and provide a range of direct therapeutic treatments.

Responsibilities include documentation, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and maintaining productivity while following department policies.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapist license, within 6–months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association.
• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Complete patient evaluations within 24–48 hours according to department protocol and set goals.
• Implement treatment plans and adjust goals while ensuring patient safety.
• Provide comprehensive patient and family education using appropriate teaching methods.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation reflecting interventions and assessments.
• Communicate plans and patient status with the interdisciplinary team and physicians.
• Ensure compliance with department policies for timecards, productivity logs, and billing.
