Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis– Therapy and Rehab is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist for per diem day and evening shifts. You will perform objective assessments and design individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients under Therapy Leadership.

Requirements include a Bachelor's, MS in PT or DPT, current/temporary PT license in the state, and BLS certification. Six months to one year of experience is preferred; candidate should be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, MS in Physical Therapy, or Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required; current before caring for patients independently.
• Six months to one year of experience preferred for rehabilitation.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Shift: Per diem - Days and evenings

Education: Bachelor's, Master of Science in Physical Therapy, or Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in the state of practice.

Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before being assigned to care for patients independently.

Preferred Experience: Six months to one year of experience is preferred for a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
