Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health in Nashua, NH is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to provide outpatient and inpatient services to diverse age groups.

You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, educate patients and families, document in EMR, and collaborate with care teams. Prior outpatient PT experience and NH license preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current NH Physical Therapy license (or pending).
• CPR certification.
• 1–2 years outpatient experience preferred.
• Desirable: Graston Technique, Lymphedema, Dry Needling.
• Strong time-management, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to safely handle patients and apply clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and create individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and adjust therapy programs to support progress.
• Educate patients and families to maximize engagement.
• Document findings and progress in EMR timely.
• Complete insurance and third-party payer information.
• Supervise new staff or students as assigned.

About the Job

Provides physical therapy services to outpatients and/or inpatients of all ages—from adolescents to adults and geriatrics with occasional developmentally based exceptions depending on clinical need.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate patients using subjective data, objective measures, clinical assessment, prognosis, and function‑based goals, establishing effective and individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and modify patient‑specific treatment programs to support functional progress and long‑term outcomes.
• Develop and deliver patient and family education, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize engagement and understanding.
• Document all clinical findings, plans, and progress in the electronic medical record in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete all required insurance and third‑party payer information.
• Provide clinical supervision to new staff members and/or affiliating students as assigned.
• Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and support staff to ensure coordinated and effective treatment.
• Maintain clinical competency and utilize equipment and techniques appropriate to training and experience.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and support a safe and positive patient experience.

Who You Are

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current (or pending) New Hampshire Physical Therapy license required.
• CPR Certification.
• Experience in outpatient PT preferred (1–2 years).
