Job summary

NorthBay Health is seeking a Physical Therapist II for outpatient services, providing independent clinical care with oversight of PTAs and guidance to junior staff. You will contribute to program development while maintaining high-quality patient care aligned with standards.

The role requires a California PT license, BLS, and outpatient experience, with opportunities to mentor staff and participate in quality initiatives within a respected nonprofit health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Physical Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Current California Physical Therapy license required.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or equivalent).
• Annual system and department requirements (TB, Safety, HIPAA, Infection Control).
• Minimum of one year outpatient physical therapy experience; advanced certification may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient PT services during assigned shifts with occasional weekends/holidays.
• Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations; update treatment plans with physicians.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to diagnosis, learning needs, and age.
• Maintain compliant EMR documentation within standards.
• Educate patients and caregivers on procedures, home programs, and safety.
• Communicate with physicians, staff, patients, families, and payers about progress.
• Mentor PT I staff, PTAs, and students; contribute to program development.
• Participate in quality improvement, staff meetings, and education activities.
• Perform other duties to support patient care and clinic operations.
