Job summary

Mercy Health’s Physical Therapy department seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to perform initial and ongoing assessments and provide skilled interventions for diverse patient groups, including outpatients and inpatients. The role emphasizes adherence to professional standards, accurate documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position may involve off-site locations; supervision of PT assistants and ongoing professional development are part of the role within Mercy

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice or eligible for trainee/temporary license
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for some sites)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop an appropriate treatment plan with goals.
• Provide direct therapy daily following the plan of care and current standards of practice.
• Document care, progress, and coordination in the EMR with timely co-signatures when required.
• Maintain productivity while ensuring quality and safe patient care.
• Supervise PT assistants and support professional growth where applicable.
