Job Summary

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a full‑time outpatient Ergonomic Physical Therapist for its Work Hardening and Business Health Services team in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Full‑time, 40 hours per week. The role includes work hardening, functional capacity evaluations, ergonomics, and onsite services at local businesses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct work hardening programs that help patients return to their pre‑injury work level safely and efficiently.
• Perform functional capacity evaluations and ergonomic assessments to reduce injury risk and increase productivity.
• Provide strengthening, flexibility, cardiovascular conditioning, spine and joint stabilization exercises, and job‑task training.
• Assess workstations, treat repetitive strain injuries, coach movement, and deliver preventive education.
• Present industrial rehab therapy information and employer clinic services to business partners.
• Coordinate onsite treatment at business locations and collaborate with the business health services team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA‑approved program; higher degrees preferred.
• Active Wisconsin Physical Therapist license (Minnesota and Illinois PT licenses are an advantage).
• Current BLS for Health Care Providers certification.
• Experience with work hardening, functional capacity evaluations, and ergonomics (preferred).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (helpful).
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and credentialed with Emplify Health by Gundersen before starting.
