Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks an outpatient Physical Therapist for its Charleston division. The role requires a university degree in physical therapy, a valid SC PT license, and BLS certification.

The therapist will help patients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve quality of life in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, utilizing exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, and maintaining EMR documentation.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Greater than one year experience as a physical therapist.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Consultation and Assessment including: Understanding patients' physical condition, symptoms, and medical history.
• Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
• Developing personalized treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
• Creating individualized rehab programs and implementing treatment plans.
• Educating patients on therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve condition.
• Providing manual therapy and pain management techniques.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and progress in EMR.
