Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.
• Certification/License/Registration: Physical Therapist (PT) license by the State of Texas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, treats, and monitors patients; modifies therapy programs and goals.
• Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner; enters charges accurately and understands reimbursement related to practice settings.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team; provides education to patients, families, and staff.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students, and volunteers.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues; adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains awareness of system goals; aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.
