Job description

OUTPATIENT ORTHOPEDIC PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

Build Your PTA Career Where Great Patient Care Comes First

At 3D Physical Therapy, we believe exceptional patient care starts with creating an environment where great clinicians can thrive.

We're a PT-owned outpatient orthopedic practice in Dallas built around a simple philosophy: quality over quantity. Our PTAs are valued members of the clinical team who play an important role in helping patients achieve meaningful outcomes and an exceptional experience throughout their recovery.

If you're looking for a practice where you can strengthen your clinical skills, collaborate closely with physical therapists, and build a long-term career as a PTA, we'd love to meet you.

WHAT PRACTICING AT 3DPT LOOKS LIKE

Our clinicians typically treat 9–11 patients per day, allowing you to focus on your patients rather than simply moving people through a high-volume schedule.

As an orthopedic PTA at 3DPT, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Treat a diverse outpatient orthopedic caseload under the direction of our Physical Therapists

  • Carry out individualized plans of care using therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, movement-based treatment, and patient education

  • Progress treatments based on patient response and communicate clinical observations with the supervising PT

  • Build meaningful relationships with patients throughout their recovery

  • Collaborate closely with PTs, PTAs, and other members of the clinical team

  • Develop your orthopedic clinical skills through mentorship and continuing education

  • Contribute ideas and have a voice in how we continue improving the patient experience

THE KIND OF PTA WHO THRIVES HERE

Clinical skills are important, but how you approach your patients, teammates, and professional growth matters just as much.

We're looking for a PTA who:

  • Creates an exceptional experience for every patient

  • Takes ownership of their responsibilities and results

  • Is self-motivated and solution-oriented

  • Communicates effectively with patients and the clinical team

  • Brings positive energy to the clinic

  • Values feedback and continued professional growth

  • Wants to be an active member of a collaborative PT/PTA team

Experienced PTAs and early-career clinicians with a strong growth mindset are both encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

  • Current or eligible Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license

  • Interest or experience in outpatient orthopedics

  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

BUILD A CAREER, NOT JUST A CASELOAD

We want 3DPT to be a place where talented PTAs can build long-term careers.

As you grow professionally, you'll have opportunities to strengthen your orthopedic expertise, develop specialty interests, mentor others, and take on additional responsibilities within the organization.

We support that growth with:

  • Continuing education allowance

  • Paid APTA/TPTA professional membership fees

  • Support for advanced education and specialty development

  • Clinical mentorship and professional development

  • Opportunities for continued growth within 3DPT

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & BALANCE

We believe clinicians should be rewarded for helping both their patients and the practice succeed.

3DPT offers:

  • Competitive compensation

  • Quarterly bonus opportunities

  • $5,000 retention bonus for this position

  • BCBS medical insurance and dental coverage

  • Retirement plan with company match

  • Paid time off

  • Flexible scheduling options

  • Manageable patient volume

  • Weekly team lunches

WHY 3DPT?

3D Physical Therapy is privately owned and operated by physical therapists. Clinical decisions are made by clinicians—not distant corporate executives.

Our vision is to intentionally set the Gold Standard in Physical Therapy by enhancing lives and empowering people through passion & purpose.

We're building a company where patients receive an exceptional experience and talented PTAs are respected as important members of the clinical team.

If that's the kind of environment where you want to build your PTA career, we'd love to talk.
