• Graduates awaiting examination may practice under a Graduate Physical Therapist (GPT) license in Rhode Island or a temporary Physical Therapy license in Massachusetts.
• Active BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Examinates and evaluates patients and establishes diagnosis, prognosis, and individualized plans of care.
• Implements treatment interventions and directs the rehabilitation plan of care.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises goals and plan of care accordingly.
• Educates and trains patients/caregivers; communicates discharge/home needs and resources.
• Completes documentation and charges accurately and timely in compliance with policy.
• Provides education to other departments, students, and outside agencies; participates in quality improvement initiatives.
