Job summary

Glendora Hospital is expanding its outpatient PHP program and seeks an AMFT/ASW Therapist to run groups and provide some case management. You will join a growing team dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based care for adults with complex conditions.

The role requires current licensure or intern status with BBS/Board of Psychology, English proficiency, and a background in psychiatric care. Excellent group facilitation and timely documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have an active intern or licensed number registered with the Board of Behavioral Services (BBS) or number registered with the Board of Psychology.
• Prefer 2 years of clinical experience working with seriously mentally ill and/or developmentally disabled and/or substance abuse clients.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Knowledge and understanding of psychiatric diagnosis, terminology, and medical record charting basics.
• Good group facilitation skills and experience.
• Must have a BLS for Healthcare provider card. De-escalation training within 30 days of hire.
• Effectively facilitates group treatment modalities within scope of practice, as assigned by the Program
• Effectively conducts initial assessment of new patients and develops initial treatment plan.
• Develops master treatment plans, as prescribed by program policies and procedures, using data from all assessments and input from treatment team.
• Accurately enters progress notes within 24 hours of service or the next business day; progress notes are accurate, refers to problems identified on treatment plan. Documents incidents or unusual occurrences at the time it happens.
• Assesses the needs of adult patients, ages 18+ and intervenes to facilitate movement to next stage.

Responsibilities

• Runs groups and provides some, but minimal Case Management services for the program.
• Be part of a growing Outpatient PHP Program.
• Conduct initial assessments and develop initial treatment plans.
• Develop master treatment plans and input data from assessments and treatment team.
• Enter progress notes within 24 hours of service or the next business day and document incidents timely.
