Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or higher education.
• BLS/CPR through the American Heart Association.
• Valid State of Michigan driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient workload.
• Demonstrates competence with Laboratory Information System.
• Processes specimens ensuring proper identification and monitoring specimen integrity for testing.
• Deliver identified specimens to laboratory in a timely manner to ensure accurate reporting and turn around times.
• Transport specimens between facilities as assigned.
• Maintain phlebotomy trays and supply inventory.
• Perform off-site phlebotomy as assigned.
• Identify when questions exceed skill mix and seek the right resource.
