Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection.
• Label and process specimens accurately.
• Dispatch specimens to appropriate testing locations and train others in techniques.
• Enter test requisitions and assist with patient registration and accessioning.
• Greet and direct patients in the lab and ensure proper chain-of-custody for pre-employment urine drug screens.
• Maintain quality control and ensure equipment reliability, including point-of-care testing where applicable.
