Qualifications

• The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy Registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) must be obtained within 2 years of hire, or a Massachusetts Pharmacy Intern License is required.

Responsibilities

• Staff in pharmacy locations/areas as required.
• Fills medication orders according to policy and gains proficiency with advanced prescriptions.
• Ensures timely delivery and/or completion of medication orders and supplies.
• Utilizes multiple systems to complete and document duties and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Maintains Pharmacy inventory: sorting, stocking, rotation, and expiration date checks.
• Performs quality control steps (e.g., barcode scanning).
• Cleans sterile and non-sterile areas as assigned.
• Trains other employees as assigned.
• Responds to and triages questions from patients and providers.
