Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required by policy.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and assist in compounding as appropriate.
• Ensures supervision and accuracy checks by pharmacists and understands when verification is needed.
• Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substances and 340B/Charging management as required.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
