Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado is launching a new outpatient pharmacy.

We seek an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help build workflows, support daily operations, and partner with pharmacists and fellow technicians to prepare prescriptions and coordinate patient access. This PRN role features 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, with no weekends or holidays, and a schedule that adapts to program needs.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepares medication orders for dispensing and compounds medications as appropriate to practice site.
• Ensures supervision and accuracy checks by pharmacists and knows when to verify tasks.
• Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substance inventories in line with 340B/Charging management as required.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
