Job summary

Vanderbilt Health TVC OP Pharmacy is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing and distribution of medications in an outpatient setting.

Open to Registered Pharmacy Technicians or Certified Pharmacy Technicians through PTCB or NHA, with preferred retail/outpatient experience. Hours: Mon-Fri, no weekends; strong teamwork and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be registered Pharmacy Technician or certified through PTCB or NHA.
• Retail/outpatient pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
• Knowledge of inventory control and dispensing processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparing, dispensing and distributing medications.
• Apply departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Perform activities as directed by Pharmacists or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws and hospital policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operate computer systems and utilize technology.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
