Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is opening a new location in Cook County, Illinois, and seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join the team supporting long-term care facilities.

You will work under supervision, handle floor stock, packaging, shipping, data entry, and contribute to quality control; Illinois license required. Competitive pay and stable schedules are offered, with comprehensive benefits and training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license required.
• PTCB program enrollment eligible.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Previous data entry experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to perform light lifting.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of a supervisor.
• Experience working in a Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) room is a plus.
• Maintain floor stock, including restocking and removal of expired medications.
• Rotate medication stock to ensure quality control standards.
• Prepack bulk medications prescribed for floor stock.
• Package, fill, and ship medications accurately.
• Maintain pharmacy standards and adhere to all policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to support pharmacy goals.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

About Us:

SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. We take pride in delivering personalized care and high-quality pharmacy services to the communities we serve.

Responsibilities:

Shift Availability:

8-hour shifts available Monday–Friday and every other weekend.

Available shifts include:

• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
• 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM.
• 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
