Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for outpatient services at the Wexner Medical Center. The role supports medication preparation and distribution under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory control, and documentation.

You'll maintain compliance with Ohio Board of Pharmacy rules and USP standards where applicable, contribute to safe medication-use processes, and support both patient care and research protocols

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18.
• Registered or eligible for pharmacy technician registration in Ohio; Trainees must submit required documentation to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy at least 10 business days before start date.
• Pharmacy Technician Trainees must obtain Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician status within 1.5 years of hire.
• Continues to meet departmental competency requirements and pharmacy standards of employee conduct.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of medication preparation and distribution under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist in sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, documentation, and storage standards.
