Sentara Health is seeking a Full-time Pharmacy Technician I for the Outpatient Pharmacy at Sentara Norfolk in Norfolk, VA. The role involves dispensing under supervision, ensuring supply levels, and supporting patient care across a busy outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of pharmacy experience, a Virginia Pharmacy Tech License, and a CPhT license. The position offers a stable schedule (Mon-Fri with some Saturdays) and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience is required.
• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License is required; CPhT license preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Performs care delivery and dispensing under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
• Participates in training of new employees.
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care.
• Triages and escalates questions outside the technician's scope of practice.
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information.
• Assumes local and/or system responsibility for assigned tasks related to pharmacy operations.
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements.
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately.
• Other duties may be assigned.
