Job summary

Adventist Health Clear Lake - Westways is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) for an outpatient position on a travel assignment in Clearlake, CA. The role supports the outpatient pharmacy team, with duties under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

The schedule runs 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 4×10 shifts, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment. California registration, BLS, and EPIC experience are required, with inpatient IV experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a recognized technician training program is required.
• California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration is required.
• At least two years recent experience in the field preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Inpatient experience with IV compounding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-discretionary technical duties under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by qualified prescribers.
• Adhere to state and federal laws governing pharmacy practice.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare team members.
