Job summary

Adventist Health St. Helena - Westways is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) for an outpatient travel assignment. The role runs 13 weeks, with shifts 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and guaranteed hours of 36 per week.

Start date is 10/26/2026 and end date 01/25/2027. Requirements include active California tech license, BLS certification, and 3–5 years of recent experience; familiarity with Epic EMR is preferred.

Qualifications

• State Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Active-Unrestricted California Tech license required
• Current BLS certification
• 3-5 years of recent experience in the field
• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications for dispensing, restocking, or delivery from outpatient prescriptions
• Maintain accurate records of orders, receive and store pharmacy inventory
• Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure correct prices are billed from vendors
• Assist in the filling of patient prescriptions and prepare unit-dose medications under supervision
• Notify pharmacists of out-of-stock medications and update records accordingly
• Perform a variety of inventory control and related clerical duties
