Job summary

Dolly Parton Children's Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) for the Outpatient Pharmacy. You will work under direct supervision of a Pharmacist to prepare, label, and dispense medications and maintain regulatory records.

Qualifications include a Tennessee board registration within 90 days, CPhT certification per state requirements, and at least 12 months of pharmacy experience. Dayshift, full-time in Knoxville, TN.

Qualifications

• Basic computer and typing skills required.
• Basic math skills for dosage calculations and billing.
• Registration with the TN Board of Pharmacy required within 90 days of employment.
• State Board approved Technician Certification for CPhT status required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications under direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Prepackage and label medications into unit doses from bulk supply.
• Maintain accurate regulatory logs and documentation.
• Assist with medication reconciliation and billing adjustments.
• Restock medication areas and communicate supply needs to Pharmacy Purchasing.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated dispensing cabinets and pharmacy systems.
