Job summary

Saint Alphonsus MedNow in Boise, ID seeks an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparation, distribution, and record keeping for patient medications. The role requires licensure with the Idaho State Board and, ideally, national certification with up to two years' experience.

Day shifts in a full-time outpatient setting, contributing to accurate dispensing and patient care. The technician will assist in training technicians, perform essential calculations, and communicate

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
• National Certification (CPhT, ExCPT or equivalent) preferred with under 2 years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Assists the Pharmacist in providing effective drug dispensing services to all patients served by the MedNow pharmacy.
• Assists the Pharmacist in training Pharmacy Technician Trainees in the day-to-day duties of Pharmacy Technicians as assigned by the Director.
• Excellent mathematical skills required for the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for routine interaction with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
