Job summary

Nebraska Medicine seeks a Pharmacy Technician for the Outpatient Pharmacy Hub Centralized Services. This closed-door central fill pharmacy handles prescription order entry and supports pharmacists while assisting patient calls.

Position is full-time (1.0 FTE) with typical 8.5-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, and one weekend every 12 weeks at Durham Outpatient Center. Competitive benefits and tuition assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Complete 160 hours of on-the-job training.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to perform moderate to difficult math calculations with a calculator.
• Nebraska Board of Pharmacy registration required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Enter prescription orders and process related duties, including data entry and claims adjudication.
• Assist pharmacists and triage/answer patient phone calls.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure accurate medication use.
