Job summary

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation (TCRHCC) is seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead the outpatient pharmacy services. The role includes clinical pharmacy activities, supervision of pharmacists, technicians, and billers, and ensuring high-quality patient care within a Navajo Preference framework.

The successful candidate will have a PharmD, current state license, BLS certification, and at least three years in a retail/ambulatory setting with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-recognized school.
• Current valid pharmacist license in state/territory/DC and in good standing.
• BLS Certification maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs job responsibilities in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Ensures accurate and timely computer order entry and patient charges review.
• Reviews orders for therapeutic appropriateness and documents interventions.
• Participates in cost-effective use and selection of pharmaceuticals to meet budget goals.
• Communicates drug information to physicians, nurses, and staff.
• Educates patients and families on drug therapy and side effects.
• Documents clinical activities and cost savings, maintains proper records.
• Oversees scheduling and directs pharmacy staff and technicians.
• Manages outpatient pharmacy operations, including automation and security of controlled substances.
• Leads quality assurance activities and coordinates PI programs.
• Represents pharmacy in hospital committees and ensures continuity of care.
