Job summary

Mercy Health's Anderson Outpatient Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist to perform medication management, ensure safe and cost-effective therapy, and maintain compliance with applicable regulations. The role involves overseeing staff, inventory security, education to patients, and collaboration with providers.

The position requires ACPE-accredited PharmD/BS, state license, and acute care experience, with leadership skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required).
• Advanced pharmacy degree – Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters, Residency (preferred).
• Maintains current license for pharmacist in the state(s) where practicing (required).
• Immunization Certified (preferred).
• 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting (required).
• 1 year of leadership experience (preferred).
• Experience in field of pharmacy practice (required).
• One year of experience in field of pharmacy practice (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Process orders and provide medication review for appropriateness, safety and efficacy.
• Ensure accurate preparation of compounded and non-compounded products.
• Oversee distributive functions of the pharmacy department for timely medication availability.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support personnel activities.
• Maintain responsibility and accountability for security of pharmacy inventory.
