Qualifications

Job Summary

As an Outpatient Pharmacist, a caregiver in this role will support a high-volume compliance packaging pharmacy processing approximately 1,300 prescriptions per day. This hybrid position is 75% remote following three months of training, with all work performed over the phone. The caregiver will rotate through five key functions over an eight-week period, including clinical order review for fulfillment, refill requests, prior authorization and clinical inquiries, medication therapy management (MTM) and onboarding new patients through medication synchronization.

A caregiver in this position will work full time, Monday through Friday, with no weekend, holiday or on-call requirements. Caregivers will work 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00am and 6:00pm. The schedule will rotate through five different job responsibilities over an 8-week period. This is a hybrid position with one week onsite followed by seven weeks working from home at CCAC.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible in current state within 90 days of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations within 90 days of hire for those administering immunizations

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience preferred.
• Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience preferred for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a Specialized Pharmacy practice area
• Board Certification
• Prior retail/community pharmacy experience

Physical Requirements

Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time.Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs.Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting.Must have normal or corrected vision.Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
